I did these little fashion illustrations recently as an inspiration for summer to come. It's been so cold in Brooklyn! Well, have to say I'm happy at least today we got snow. I always had a love for fashion illustration and this was just something fun I decided to do on the side. Pinterest has definitely renewed my interest in this realm. I'm loving all the bright colors combined with geometric patterns.

We generally tend to juice when we have a bunch of left over vegetables/fruits that need to be eaten. Here we used 4 Honeycrisp Apples: Cut and cored, 1 big bag of carrots: skinned, and a handful of celery. It's a great way to use all your food. It's also best to have honeycrisp apples or some sort of apple to add in. The apples add sweetness and can take out the bitterness of the juice. We use our juicer more than we would expect. Our little girl loves drinking fresh juice and in return is getting great benefits from all the vitamins from the carrots, apples and celery.

We love Prospect Park. Living close to the park we try and go as often as we can. It's huge! Filled with meadows, trees, and even lakes. Today we went early in the morning, since Isabella's wake up time is around 6ish am on average. Amazingly we weren't the only ones, there were dogs and people everywhere. It was a really beautiful autumn crisp day with lots of sunshine. I was lucky to spend it with my two favorite people!

Early Thursday morning my neighbor Evelyn and I checked out the Crepe and Espresso Bar called Crespella on 7th Avenue. I had the Raspberry/Ricotta crepe and Evelyn got the Nutella crepe. They were SO delicious...we ate them so fast I forgot to take a photos :+/. Our girls equally enjoyed them! We decided to go to Prospect Park on whim and watch the girls push the strollers across the field. It was early in the morning and my Isabella was still in her PJs. Luckily that didn't stop them from having fun and getting dirt all over.

We moved to NYC! It's been a busy year and I took a long break from blogging since our little one was born. Hope to be more in touch in the future days ahead. In the meantime I am currently looking for part time design and/or illustration work. Just set up my online portfolio today. It's a start at least :+). I found coroflot easy to set up and it's free! Now if I just can find that thumb drive with those essential projects.

I can't find the notebook (where you see half the recipe written down) to this amazing recipe for Lemon Squares :+/, but I did this Classic Lemon Bar recipe, that might be close. I just remember these making a big hit at a party I went to. I remember using lots and lots of lemons! These were incredibly delicious!

I recently designed wedding invites for my friends Jodi and Mark. The wedding takes place in an outdoor backyard in the end of summer. Their colors are marigold and navy blue. I wanted this to have a summer, carefree feeling—showing lightening bugs and romantic/antique script type.
